Samsung Bixby Voice Assistant Available Globally Very Soon
Samsung announced the new Bixby assistant along with the Galaxy S8 smartphone. Bixby Assistant is meant to help you use your device better and make the most out of it. The company also announced that it can speak, however, at the time of the announcement, the feature was not really ready for the users to take advantage of it.
Over the course of time, the company made a few changes and made the voice feature available in South Korea. Even in the U.S., the service was made available last month. However, there are still a ton of users of there in other markets, who are yet to receive this feature. But now, it looks like we should be seeing the update being rolled out very soon. Although the company is yet to officially clarify anything on this, it certainly does look like the feature is all set for a global rollout.
It has been reported that the Samsung’s Contact app has been updated and under the “What’s New” section, it has listed “Bixby English global launching.” This by itself is enough indication that the English Voice assistant is all set for the global launch.
Once the service is made available, both the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus will get the feature and finally, we can expect to put the Bixby button to some use. Despite the fact that we don’t have an official date for the same, we hope the company will make it available before the Galaxy Note 8 launch. Given the fact that the Galaxy Note 8 also features the Bixby button, they better have a better use for the same.
Over the course of time, we also hope that Samsung will make the service even better. In fact, Bixby can help you carry out bank transaction, etc. in South Korea. So, we are hoping that the company will bring these abilities in other markets as well.
Having said that, be sure to let us know if you would be interested in using this service when it is made available here in India.
