$999 Apple iPhone X (10) Revealed with Edge-to-Edge Display & Face ID

Apple released the special edition iPhone X (10). The iPhone X brings many new hardware features to the table like edge-to-edge display and Face ID. Just like the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, the iPhone X also features glass body and comes in 64GB and 256GB storage options. As seen in the leaked images, there is a rectangular cut out on the top of the display that hosts sensors including flood illuminator, infrared camera, front camera, dot projector, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, speaker, and microphone.
Talking about the all-screen Super Retina display on the front, it comes in 5.8-inch screen size and offers 2436 x 1125 pixels resolution. The iPhone X is also the first iPhone to sport an OLED panel. Instead of the Touch ID, the smartphone comes with Face ID that recognizes the face to unlock. According to the company, the Face ID is faster and more secure than the Touch ID. It is mentioned to work even low light conditions without any issues. Under the hood is the 64-bit A11 Bionic chip that packs six cores and Apple-made GPU.
On the camera front, there is a 12MP wide-angle sensor with f/1.8 aperture and another 12MP telephoto sensor with f/2.4 aperture. Unlike the iPhone 8 Plus, the dual camera setup on the iPhone X comes with dual OIS. It offers 2x optical zoom and up to 10x digital zoom. For selfies, it packs a 7MP camera on the front with f/2.2 aperture and Retina flash. Both the front and rear cameras come with Portrait mode and also the new Portrait Lighting. The device also comes with IP67 certification, making it water and dust resistant.

With the iPhone X, Apple also introduced the animated emojis called Animoji. These new Animojis will resemble the facial expressions and will be available with the Messages app in iOS 11. While there is no information about the battery capacity, it is said to last up to 2 hours longer than iPhone 7. It also supports fast charging and can be charged up to 50% charge in 30 minutes. The iPhone X also supports wireless charging but lacks the fast charging option like the Galaxy S8 or Galaxy Note8. It will be available in Space Gray and Silver color options.
