Creating strong passwords Our research has led us to develop some specific recommendations for choosing passwords that provide good protection for online accounts and the data they contain. A crucial aid in this process is to use a  password manager  to generate long, random passwords – and remember them for you. If you're making your own passwords: Make your password at least 12 characters, and mix it up with at least two or three different types of characters (lowercase letters, uppercase letters, digits and symbols), put in unpredictable places. Don't put your capital letters at the beginning or your digits or symbols at the end. Avoid including names of people or pets, places you have lived, sports teams, stuff you like or birth dates. Avoid common phrases (especially anything related to "love" in any language) and song lyrics. Don't use patterns ("abc," "123"), including patterns on the keyboard ("1qazxsw2")....

After being in the rumors mills from the last few months, Moto X4 is now officially launched by Lenovo-owned Motorola at the ongoing IFA 2017 event. The Moto X4 will be the successor to Moto X Style launched in 2015. Unlike the earlier launched Moto smartphones, the new Moto X4 comes features curved Gorilla Glass 3 on the front and rear along with an anodized aluminum frame. It is priced at €399 and will go on sale this month in Europe. The global markets along with the U.S will get the Moto X4 later this year. The Sony Xperia XA1 Plus is now official. The company announced it alongside the new Xperia XZ1 and the XZ1 Compact. All the specs of the smartphone pretty much remain the same as we had reported earlier today. It is powered an octa-core MediaTek Helio P20 SoC and comes with 4GB RAM. However, in South America and the US, you will have to settle for the 3GB variant. In fact, it looks like the people buying it in the U.S. won’t get the side-mounted fingerprint scanner as well. The company has now filed a patent for the new under-glass acoustic fingerprint system. It looks like Apple is planning on fitting the next generation of iPhones with a unique kind of fingerprint scanners. No, not the iPhone 7s, 7s Plus or 8, but the generation after that. Yes, it is too early to discuss this since the iPhone 9 (a possible name) is definitely more than a year away. However, the new tech which is expected to be fitted in those phones is rather interesting. The patent reveals that this particular new sensor in question will not need a direct contact of the fingerprint, due to which the actual sensor can be placed under the glass of the display. It looks like it will need an acoustic transducer which will send piezoelectric signals to the top. The returning waves from this will be used to scan the fingerprint.
