Vivo X20 Plus with Under Display Fingerprint Scanner to Launch Soon in China

We have spotted a new listing of a Vivo smartphone with the name Vivo X20Plus UD on 3C certification website. The UD in the name suggests it to be the “under display” fingerprint scanner. It comes with the model number BK1124 and supports 4G LTE and fast charging. As of now, there is no clear information about the launch timing this new device. Apart from the under display fingerprint sensor, the Vivo X20 Plus UD might pack same specifications as on the Vivo X20Plus.

We also expect to see the new Vivo X20 UD alongside the Vivo X20Plus UD. Last month, Synaptics also confirmed Vivo will be the first smartphone OEM to get its in-display fingerprint sensors. The new-gen Synaptics Clear ID FS9500 sensors are designed to be used with an OLED display, and the Vivo X20 smartphones feature AMOLED panels. Talking about the other specifications, the Vivo X20 and X20 Plus came with metal unibody design and 18:9 FullView AMOLED displays with Full HD+ resolution.

Under the hood, they pack the 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 512 GPU and 4GB/6GB of RAM. The devices came with Android 7.1.1 Nougat based FunTouchOS 3.2 out of the box. In terms of optics, they sport 24MP + 5MP dual camera setup on the rear and a 24MP single camera on the front for selfies.
